There’s nothing quite like a tender, flaky forkful of cod — or a fresh mouthful of red snapper. At The Fish Market, you’ll discover some of the freshest, most flavorful fish in the area. They sell fresh fish that you can take home and prepare yourself, along with prepared fish dinners.
When you walk into The Fish Market, you’re greeted by a glass counter filled with iced-down seafood, from shrimp to tilapia. Order what you want and the employees will weigh it and package it up for you to take home. If you’re not sure how to prepare something, just ask; they’re knowledgeable and have a lot of tips. The pre-prepared salmon and crab cakes are big hits with repeat customers.
The prepared fish dinners at The Fish Market also have quite the following. Enjoy beer-battered lake perch, cod, pickerel, rainbow trout, or red snapper. The meals come with fries, homemade coleslaw, and bread. If you have a smaller appetite, enjoy one of the fish sandwiches instead.
If you’d like a fish dinner, make sure you stop in early; they stop frying around 5 pm. However, you can call ahead to order and pick your fish up until 6 pm. Their number is 315-581-6630 and you’ll find the shop at 4355 Schaefer Rd. in Dearborn. They open at 10 am on Monday, 9 am Tuesday – Saturday, and 12 pm on Sunday.
The Fish Market is a small, family-owned business, like many of the shops in Dearborn. Contact us if you’re considering moving to the area. We’d be happy to tell you more about the community at Fairlane Woods Apartments.Back to all posts
