Whether you want to read a mystery, learn a second language, or discover a new craft, the Dearborn Public Library can help.

You don’t even have to leave home. The library offers dozens of virtual services you can enjoy from our Dearborn apartments. Here is some of what you’ll find:

Creativebug boasts that it will ” keep your hands active and your mind engaged.” It offers thousands of award-winning arts & crafts video classes. Talented artists or experienced designers lead every session and provide endless possibilities. You can start and finish projects at your own pace, and the lessons never expire. Learn how to knit, sketch, sew, and much more. Creativebug donates a portion of subscription dollars to nonprofits in art education.

Gale Courses

Free to cardholders, Gale Courses provides interactive classes you can enjoy online. Each course runs for six weeks, with new sessions starting every month. One of the choices includes Beginning Conversational French. You’ll learn numbers and common words, along with cultural tips. Instructor Sara Hardin holds a BA in French. She studied in France at the university level and will have you speaking like a native in no time.

OverDrive features thousands of audiobooks and e-books in nearly every genre. You’ll find the classics, new releases, and even books about Michigan. Mystery lovers don’t want to miss Murder Wears Mittens. It follows a New England knitting circle that joins together to find a missing mother while unraveling a shocking murder. This book is sure to keep you entertained until the last page.

After discovering all the library offers, order the best crepes in Dearborn to-go. You can enjoy sweet or savory options paired with delicious sides.
